Picasso on the beach

Picasso on the beach has been serving extraordinary Mexican food since 1996 - proud to offer fast and friendly service - a fun atmosphere and service to the beach. We feature amazingly fresh homemade food with great cocktails - for sipping during sunset and for lounging all day. We take great pride in using local ingredients whenever we can - locally grown vegetables to make the best homemade Mexican favorites - salsa, refried beans, all types of salads and our famous vegan and vegetarian bowls. Sizzling fajitas are everyones favorite along with juicy steaks and burgers. We serve lunch and dinner all with a view of the stunning Aegean sea. Picasso also offers a changing area and shower which makes it easy to spend the day!

One hot day in July 2014 our friends John and Lynn celebrated their 50th birthday with a great big bunch of South Africans and lots of margaritas on the beach and things got a bit jolly - as one would expect. After treating them to some more margaritas we started talking about opening a Picasso in White River, South Africa. Next thing we know we are cheering to our new venture with our friends wearing Picasso T-shirts. By September they had done their part with securing a lease and transforming an old restaurant into a new picasso White River style right near the Kruger National Park. Stratos went down to organize the kitchen and train the staff and "Picassos' Mexican Taqueria" was born. We have been down many times since and congratulate Lynn and John on a very successful venture - a big thank you too for opening our eyes to a whole new beautiful country.
